We are doing something similar at my other blog. There are two meme groups I follow that you might want to participate in for fun.
1. First of the Month. I am taking a photo of our local lighthouse each month at my other blog. You could join in with a photo of your garden. http://www.murrieta365.com/2011/06/first-of-month.html
2. Garden Bloggers Bloom Day; on the 15th of each month do a post about your garden. Here is mine for May. http://www.beyondthedogdish.com/2011/05/garden-bloggers-bloom-day-may.html
That's a good idea. Won't be long before those plants are taller than she is.
