Tibby's Photo Shoot - Day 5

The 5th picture.

This is Tibby doing her 'wave' trick.  She had just learned it a day or two before.  We hadn't practiced it without a clicker and I really wasn't even sure she understood the trick.
BUT.....here she is doing it!
I asked her and she did it!
How's that for proofing?
Also, she had to do it a million times before the photographer caught it.  I kept thinking, "Please, please do it again!  You can do it!"

Tibby's New Dresses

I bought Tibby some summer dresses from a neat shop on Etsy Missteawinkie.
The owners are really nice.  They made these dresses to Tibby's exact measurements and answered all of my questions.  Even though these were a special order, they made them in only 2 days!
Aren't they cute?!?!
I can just see Tibby at the Farmer's Market this summer in her new country jean jumper.

Sorry about the backgrounds - my house is under construction.

Tibby can wear this outfit to a picnic in the park.

I LOVE the little details on these dresses!
There is a little red heart on the pocket of the jean jumper and the black check dress has a belt.  Yes a little bitty belt!  How precious, right?
I'm still waiting for 3 more dresses from a different Etsy seller.
Can't wait until summer!

Now, what about this picture.....
Well, it isn't my favorite.  After I got all the pictures home and had a chance to look at them carefully there is a different picture that I like a lot better.
I still think this is a cute picture of Tibby.  Especially, because she just sat there and looked at the camera.  I was standing on Tibby's right side.  The headband kept slipping off and I had to put it back on her head about 10 times.  Then the petals wouldn't stay up, so the photographer had me readjust them - over and over again.  The whole time I'm thinking, "Just Wait!  Tibby!  Hold Still!"
Before this picture the photographer tried to get Tibby to stand in a large flower pot, but the pot kept tipping over.  Tibby was NOT happy with that!  She bounced out of the flower pot 3 times before the photographer gave up that idea.  I was very nervous about the pot idea, because Tibby was up on a platform about 3 feet off of the floor.  I didn't want her to break a leg!  Even after all the upset with the flower pot, Tibby got right back up on the platform, when I asked her to, and posed for this picture.
Smart puppy!

Tibby's Photo Shoot - Day 3

Here is the 3rd picture!

My Mom calls this a classic dog picture.  She likes it, because she isn't crazy about dogs in clothes (or dogs for the matter - a whole different post some other time).
Me?  I think Tibby looks naked.  I miss her hair :(
I do like the way she is looking up.
Wonder who she is looking at?  That would be me!  I was frantically saying, "Ok, wait Tibby!  Just wait!  Wait! Wait!  Ok Wait!!!"

Voting starts tomorrow!

Yes!

I just signed Tibby up for a long distance Silvia Trkman puppy class.  Last time the class filled up before I decided if I wanted to do it (it's kind of expensive).  I can't wait until class starts on March 28th!!!

Tibby's Photo Shoot - Day 2

Here is the 2nd picture!

Tibby did her 'take a bow' trick!

This raincoat was one of the first things I bought Tibby to wear.  I'm so glad I did.  She wore it a lot in the Fall.  Now she has actually grown into it and it fits a lot better.  It was so cute when she was a baby and the hood would fall down over her eyes.  *awwww*

EDITED UPDATE:  The photographer used this photo in their advertisements.  Tibby was in the paper!!  And in a mailing that they sent out to people.

Boot Camp or Watch Tibby Run

I took Tibby to a puppy agility boot camp today at On the Run Canine Center.  It was a fun class, but it was also a long tiring day.  We left at 9 am and got home after 5pm.  The class was an hour and 1/2 long.  The rest of the day was driving.  It was interesting to see so many puppies all doing agility activities.  The puppies were all 15 months and younger.  Most of the activities were things we had done in our Foundation class.  I liked the way the instructors explained everything.  I also felt that we got a lot of personal attention, even though there were 20 puppies there and there were 5 puppies (including Tibby) in our group.  Tibby had fun, because she got to eat lots of steak, sausage and tilapia.  An hour and 1/2 is a looooong time to have a class.  By the end of the 2nd 20 min. section I could see that I was loosing Tibby.  By the 3rd section, she didn't care about treats (except the steak) and she was not interested in playing tug at all.  She usually loves to play tug, even with other dogs around, but she had this glazed look on her face.  She was way over stimulated.  The last section was with a low dog walk, tunnel, pause table and some other stuff.
At this point Tibby decided to make her own fun.
Uh Oh.
The dogs were supposed to go through the tunnel and stop on the pause table.  Ok, so Tibby does it the first time.  She didn't really stop all the way on the table (went off the other side), but she was under control.  The teacher said to really get the dogs excited.
So I did.
Whoops.
The other dogs trot or walk nicely through the tunnel, some make it on to the table, some don't.
Tibby tears through the tunnel like a rabid wolf and then takes off at top speed past the table and then does a huge looping zoom around the training area.  Thank goodness for fences or she would have run through the whole building.  Now Tibby is on one side of an A-frame and I'm on the other.  Everyone starts yelling, "Go the other way!  Go the other way!"  I'm confused - the other way around the A-frame?    No.  They want me to run away from Tibby.  And then in theory she is supposed to notice that I'm not playing and run to find me.
 Hmmmmm Ok.
 I'll try anything once.
I go across the room and she doesn't notice me.  I call her and she runs over to find me.  But then I find out, "No.  You shouldn't have called her.  Next time don't call her."
Ok.
Now if they thought Tibby was fast the 1st time, well they haven't seen anything.  The next time through the tunnel, Tibby pulls out her moderately high super sonic speed.  I'm on the other end of the tunnel thinking that I'm ready to catch her.
 Um, no.
At that speed only super heroes can catch Tibby.  I can't even see her, she is so fast.  She zooms around and around and I run in the opposite direction.  Except I have to keep changing direction, because she is zooming around the whole room!
Oh, yeah and everyone is yelling helpful suggestions.
Finally, I catch her.
The teacher says, "Ok, that worked.  Get in line and do it again."
Really?   Do I have to?
Tibby if course thinks this is the BEST GAME EVER!!!!!
I can't be mad at her, because the look on her face when she was running toward me was pure, PURE happiness.  I wish I had a picture of it.  She was even doing her crazy run - it's kind of like a squat/bunny hop thing- she only does it when she is being a 'naughty girl'.  She does it before she bites my pant legs when she thinks we are going for a walk - when she is super, super excited.
Then she sits down and waits patiently, in line, for our turn.  So.......what does that mean?!?  She can be calm, but really wants to zoom?
Honestly, the other dogs in our group either walked or slowly trotted through the tunnel.  That made Tibby look even crazier.
The 3rd time through the tunnel was even faster than the 2nd time.  Aaaaaand she wouldn't come back.  The teacher finally stepped on her leash, because the 'run in the other direction' thing wasn't working.
So that was our fun day at puppy boot camp.

Tibby's Photo Shoot - Day 1

Remember a long, long time ago - like 2 weeks ago - I told you that I was taking Tibby to have her pictures taken?
Then I said they went REALLY well and I was so excited to see them?

Well, the time has come ......... to show them off!!!

You might not remember this part:  the photo shoot was a fundraiser for the local Humane Society PLUS the photography studio that did the pictures is having a contest, with everyone that had their pet photographed.
The contest doesn't start until Tuesday the 8th, but I have 11 pictures to show off, so for the next 11 days I will post a new picture of Tibby, from her photo shoot, with a tiny reminder to vote for Tibby!

I have to be honest - I don't like the picture I picked to enter in the contest.  There is a different picture that I should have picked.
*sigh*
You'll have to wait until Tuesday to see the Official Contest Picture.
Just wait until you see Tibby in her outfits!

Video Viernes

Can you belive it's already Friday again?!? Here is a video of Tibby and Catty. This is what they do when I come home from work. The first part after a night shift and the second part after a day shift. I think it's funny because it looks like Tibby chews on her bone all night long. At about the 2 min. point Tibby demonstrates her amazing bone chewing skillz - rear end in the air!
It's not very exciting - they eat a little, play in the tunnel and chew on a bone (well, Tibby does that part).

Tongue-tacular!

To enter: Go here

Another chance to post pictures of Tibby?!?  I'm all over that!

I don't have a ton of tongue pics - not like the sleeping challenge.

They start out so sweet and innocent.

As time passes and they hang out with the wrong crowd.....

They turn into little monsters!

Who couldn't care less.

Why Do You Ask?

Why, yes, I do enjoy a pumpkin-peanut butter Kong.

Turn On the Light Trick

Practicing 'Turn on the light'. I don't know why or when it happened, but Tibby LOVES the light. All she wants to do is turn on that light!
