Long Day - Happy and Tired

Tibby and I had a lesson with Loretta today.  It was fun!  We worked on handling.  At the beginning of the lesson I was pretty lost, but by the end of the lesson I understood much better.  Just watching Loretta handle Tibby helps a lot.  I can see what a difference a small movement makes.  Very interesting stuff.  Tibby did a very good job!  She only tried to do the 'I'm-ignoring-you-and-doing-zoomies' game ONCE.  Loretta and I left the barn and Tibby noticed we were gone!  After a couple minutes we went back in and Tibby was ready to play with me again.  :)  Later on she looked like she was going to try zooming again (I don't care if she runs around when we are talking, but she has to come back when I call her) and Loretta said to me, "Are we going to have to leave again?"  She said it in a normal talking voice and we weren't even really looking at Tibby.  Tibby must have heard her and understood (!!!), because she put on the breaks, turned and stopped right in front of us.  She looked at us like, "Ok!  I'm here!  Don't even think about leaving!"

I swear Tibby understands English.

Now someone else has seen it too LOL!!!

After the lesson Tibby was tired. 

After the lesson I went to the mall, then we went to Petsmart and Pet Co.  I'm not sure why, but Tibby is much more relaxed at Pet Co.  She's so relaxed that she peed on the floor.  Oops!  I was not doing a very good job of pottying Tibby today.  First she pooped in Loretta's barn and then she peed in Pet Co.  I swear I walked her before we went in!

So we left home at 11am and rolled back into town at 5:30pm.  Just in time for dinner at my Grandma's house.

It was a very long, but very fun day.  It went by SO fast.

Dinner was Tibby's favorite part of the day :)  She got her own plate.

I think she looks pretty happy about it.

She didn't even finish her dinner.  She was too full of treats from our lesson and she was very tired.  It was an extremely quiet evening.  A tired dog is a happy dog :)

Stuff

Tibby and I had a little disagreement about what she should do with a jump.  She was sure that the best method of dealing with jumps was: walk up to jump, lift one paw, knock bar onto the ground and look up for treat. 
She finally did ONE really nice jump and I stopped while we were ahead! 
She did 100% on the jump/wrap/chase toy.  I had the bar down on the ground, so it was really run!/wrap/chase toy.  She was fast though, so that made me happy.

Tibby Best Toy Ever 1.0 had a set back today, but I have a better plan and tomorrow will start working on 2.0.  The set back was that Tibby destroyed it.  Oops!  At least I know she liked the idea.  We played a bunch today.  I'm working on getting her to jump up on me and demand the toy.  So far she is jumping up on me.  I also played keep away with one of her toys.  I took her tug, hid it behind me on the couch and if she jumped all over me she got to have it.   I like these drive building games - I don't have to think so much, just have fun.

In my last post, I forgot about the training we did yesterday, at Petsmart, after our lesson.  We sat in the car and watched dogs.  Tibby looks at dog/freaks out/calms down a little/looks at me gets treat.  Repeat/repeat/repeat ect.  Pretty soon it was: calm look at dog/look at me/get treat and then look at me/look at me/get treat.  Yay!

2nd Trip To Petsmart Yesterday

Tibby was SO GOOD.  She walked around with a loose leash (!!!!!) about 90% of the time.  She sat down (on her own - I didn't ask her to sit) to greet a small boy and let him pet her.  She also sat and greeted a woman and 2 other children.  I was really amazed and proud of her.  After our last visit with all the pulling and whining - this was a great visit!  When we left a worker gave Tibby half of a Milkbone.  Tibby has never had that kind of treat before and this Milkbone was huge.  It filled her whole mouth like a chew toy!  She politely took it, dropped it behind a check out desk and then trotted out the door with me.  Funny girl!
