Snow! Snow! Snow!

Lots 'an lots of SNOW!!!!

I'm glad Tibby likes it.  This was very nice fluffy snow (easy to shovel), but it blows around and drifts a lot.  We got 6.5 inches overnight and another couple inches during the day today.  And then 38 mile per hour winds.  Brrrrrrr!  I'm glad Tibby has a nice thick coat.  TTs were built for snow.  They have large flat snow-shoe like feet.  Their feet look like they are webbed.  They also have long eyelashes to protect their eyes from blowing snow and a double coat to keep them warm.

Not a Great Day

Yesterday was not a great day.  It was a great day until it started to snow around 3 o'clock.  Earlier in the day, Tibby and I went for a slushy hike.  That was fun.  We saw 2 deer and heard a bunch of coyotes (not so much fun).
Then it started to snow.  I wanted to clean out my garage, so I could get my car inside before the big storm.  There was a bunch of recycling I needed to drop off, so I drove the 2 blocks to the recycling center.  On the way home I ran into a light pole!
Actually, I slid into a light pole.  We got 6.5 inches of snow and none of the roads were plowed.  Thankfully, I wasn't going very fast.  I hit the pole with the very center of the front of my car.  The pole shook a little, but there wasn't any visible damage to my car.
The 2nd not so great (bad) thing that happened:  Tibby chewed on my Mom's glasses.  Ooops!  My Mom set them down for a second and Tibby stole them and chewed on the lenses.  The only thing I could say was sorry and I owe you a new pair of glasses.
As the above picture demonstrates, Tibby loves anything silver and my Mom's glass just happen to be silver.

Tibby's Costume

This is a video from last month, but I forgot to post it!  I think it is pretty funny, but Tibby probably thinks it is torture and embarrassing!
The one thing I notice is that Tibby is SO much BIGGER.  She has grown a lot in the last month.  Not a ton, but still I can't pick her up as easily as I did in the video.

Visit To Grandma's

Today I took Tibby to visit my Grandma and Grandpa.
They have a cat named Rata.  She was NOT impressed with Tibby.  Tibby couldn't figure out why Rata didn't want to play.  Catty plays with her - why didn't Rata like her?  It was so confusing for Tibby.  For her efforts to make friends, she got a nice smack across the nose from Rata.

Rata- Tibby.

Tibby - Rata.

"You are an evil dog."

"Awww shucks, I'm not evil."

"Where's she going?"

"Hello again!  Do you want to play?"
"NO! GO AWAY!"

"Are you sure?  You look like you want to play."
"GO AWAY!!!"

"Really?  You don't want to play?  How 'bout if I just sniff you a little?"
"Grrrrrrrrr!"

"Please GO AWAY!"

Grandma and Tibby.
"Kiss!  Kiss!"

Grandpa and Tibby.

Look how big Tibby is in these pics!

She looks like a giant dog!

Thank goodness for rawhide.  Tibby is chewing on a bone in this pic - not my Grandpa's foot!

Tibby settled down to chew her bone.  It only took 4 hours for her to settle down.

"Who?  Me?  I'm chill."

Tibby had a busy weekend.  She played with people from 10 to 87 years old.  She took orders from an 11 year old.  It took her a while to understand that I wasn't giving her the directions, she had to pay attention to someone else, if she wanted a treat.  Once she understood she was 100% on all her commands.
She also took 2 long car trips.  Tibby is a very good traveler.  I wouldn't think twice about taking another long trip with her.  She curls up on the backseat and goes to sleep or she chews on her bone.
I brought her new puzzle food ball with us to my Grandma's house.  It kept Tibby entertained for a while, until my Grandpa felt sorry for her and opened it to give her all the treats.  I couldn't get him to understand the concept of a food dispensing treat ball!

Pet Blogger Hop

We are participating in the Saturday Pet Blogger Hop for the first time.  Looks like there are a lot of fun blogs to check out!

"Whoa!"

"Stand here?  Smile?  Ok this isn't so hard.  What's that thundering noise?"

"Peek-a-boo!"

One Big Lap

This is how Catty and Tibby try to sit on my lap at the same time.
Of course, Tibby is too wiggly and squirmy to sit still!
Imagine an 80 year old lady and a 3 year old trying to sit in the same seat without touching.
It doesn't end well.

Tibby and The Buns

I set up the bunnies playpen in the dining room yesterday.
The window in their room faces north and because of that, they don't get a lot of sunshine.
I also want to get Tibby used to the idea of having the buns around the house.

At first she was, "BUNNIES!! BUNNIES!!"  and "HEY!  THEY ARE OUT OF THEIR ROOM!!! HEY! HEY!"

Then, "bunnies....whoo hoo....bun..nies....um, whatever.  I'm gonna go chew my bone in the living room."

"Are they still here?  Why don't they DO anything?"

"Hello!"

Snowy Morning

This is the first thing Tibby did this morning.
Get out of nice warm dog bed, flop down on snowy deck and eat some snow.
You can take the dog out of Tibet, but you can take the snow love out of the Tibetan.

"Too early!  Yaaaaawn"

"I will be napping here for the next hour.  I'll bark if I need you."

Don't Forget to Enter

Tibby says, "Life is ruff without a platypus."

We also have 50 surprise bonus prizes to give away, so your chances of winning something are pretty good. *wink*

"Nom, nom platy-nommy."
