Jingle Hippo, Jingle Hippo

Jingle Hippo toy!  This toy is still rattling around the yard.  Looks pretty good!  Not bad for an Ikea baby toy.

Here is Tibby with the same toy in 2011 - Tibby

Firsts and Outdoor Sleeping

Just a few cute things that I want to remember.  I'm trying a new thing - cooking once and freezing meals for the month.  Today was shopping and prep work and tomorrow is the cooking day.  Dhali is my little helper.  He likes to sit next to me and try little bits of things.  Tonight he tried - carrot, celery, red pepper, zucchini, kale, cauliflower, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese and romano cheese.  He's not as crazy for cheese as Tibby is.   He would rather have cauliflower or zucchini.
At one point I was getting some plastic wrap out of the cupboard and I left the door open.  He closed it for me!  I think that's the first time he has ever offered something like that :)

Where was Tibby during this food fest?  She was/is sleeping outside on the deck.  Weirdo.  Yes, there is a dog bed on the deck, but it is cold and raining outside.  To each there own, I guess.  And where is Dhali?  Sleeping right next to me.  He likes to be within arm's reach, because I reach over and pet him.  Yes, he likes to be petted!  So nice to be able to pet my dog.

Rainy Day

This is a picture of Dhali after he fell off the back of the couch and landed on the window sill.  He was comfy there and took a little rest (eyes open, of course).
It is raining very hard,  so my plans of a nice long hike today have been canceled.  I like to hike in the rain, but it is cold and raining really hard.  I don't like getting soaked with TWO muddy dogs.
I know we have been in a drought, but it was nice while it lasted - now there are muddy footprints and washing muddy feet all day long!  And Dhali's little holes, that he's dug all over the yard, are filling with mud which is even more fun to play in......oh, little puppy!

I actually think the 2 fluffy tails have been trying to either kill me or control me with sleep deprivation.  Monday night I got very little sleep - Dhali barking in his crate, Tibby standing by the bed gently woofing in my face or jumping on and off the bed.  I let them outside, thinking they might have an emergency - nope, they just wanted to play and sniff around.  Ok, back to bed.  I put them both out of the bed room.  Then I had Tibby barking AND Dhali barking.  Tibby barks REALLY, REALLY LOUD.  O-kay.....no sleep for me.
Tuesday night - same thing.  I tried to get them very, very tired, but after the lights went out they became little nocturnal yipping jumping beans again.  Ugh.

You know how you wake up in the night and see that you only have x amount of time left to sleep, before you have to get up?  So frustrating!

Even more frustrating - the next morning when I'm soooo tired, after they kept me up all night, the two night owls are crabby and sleepy.  They don't want to get up - "We're sleeeeepyyy!"  Yeah, well so AM I!!  But I don't get to sleep all day like you two lazy bums.

So last night they got me up maybe twice.  I honestly don't remember.  This morning I let Dhali out at 5:30ish and he just wanted to sleep on the outside bed.  I left the door open a little bit, so I could hear him when he wanted back inside and I went to sleep on the couch.  And I really fell asleep!  Poor little guy was 'pounding' on the door to get back in.  He does look like he has little fists drumming on the door and he whines so pitifully.  He whines better than any dog I have ever met.  It's sounds so sad!  I don't think I've ever heard Tibby whine....hmm, interesting.  Another thing that is different about them.

So we slept in this morning and Dhali snuggled and cuddled with me.  Tibby left and went to sleep on the couch.  Now they are both asleep on the couch - all curled up and cute.

Pic-me

I forgot to post the pictures from our picnic last week.  My aunt and uncle were visiting and we had a picnic with them and my parents.

Tibby was a good girl.

However, she really doesn't like men - except my Dad.  My uncle tried to give her treats and she wouldn't even look at him.  My Dad gave her the treats and she ate them up.  My aunt gave her a treat she ate it.  My uncle tried again and she gave him a dirty look and then ignored him.

She does that for all men - except my Dad.  Funny pup.

It was a beautiful day.

Snow Storm!

We had a little snow storm yesterday.  Tibby LOVED it!  She loves the snow.

When she came back inside, a lot of snow came with her!  Poor Catty she got covered with snow!

Bunn Bunns

Tuesday was beautiful.  Nice enough for the bunnies to go outside.  They had fun

Tibby had fun watching them.

Kiwi!  What are you doing?!?

"Who me?  I'm not doing anything.  This dirt?  I don't know where it came from."

"I was framed!"

Tansy.

Watermelly Belly

After a few nice weeks (of rain!) we are back to too HOT!  It is almost 10:30pm and it is still 93F.  Plus it is humid.  Ugh.  I'm sorry all the people who like hot weather - I want 60's not 90's!!

Tibby tried out some watermelon.  She was not very impressed.
"Why am I supposed to eat this?"
She gave it a lick and that was it.

Tibby, Bunnies and Green

I have been putting the bunnies out in their x-pen for a few hours every day.  The first few times Tibby was crazy, because she thinks the bunnies are "SO WONDERFUL!!!".  Possibly to eat.  Maybe to just play with.  We will never know.  Now Tibby has calmed down a lot.  It's fun to be outside with the whole family!

Catty, Kiwi, Tansy and Tibby

Tansy and Tibby *sniff sniff*

"Yawn! I feel so lazy."

Kiwi

So regal

BIG ears

Tibby!

Tansy with an attitude.  So just a normal Tansy.

I think Tibby looks like she is smiling in this pic.

"Bunnies this is how you eat grass."

My 13 month old little girl.

Sleeping.

"zzzzzzzzz."

"That was fun!"

We have a big day planned tomorrow!  Very exciting!
