Miracle Alert

I just took a relaxing stroll with Tibby and she had a loose leash the whole time.  Awe.  Yesterday at Petsmart I bought her an Easy Walk harness.  Today I put it on her and Poof! she could walk nicely.  Wow.  I held on to the leash with 2 fingers.  2 fingers!!  Not holding on with all my strength while she pulled me through snow banks.  We saw people, we saw cars, we passed dogs  - she was interested, but did not pull.  I kept waiting for the newness to wear off and for Tibby to start pulling again.  And hour later.....she was still perfect!
If she keeps walking like this I can take her anywhere with me.  Wonderful!  My Mom can walk her and I won't have to worry about Tibby pulling her over.  Brilliant!

Amazing! I just read on someone's blog yesterday about how well those Easy Walk harnesses work! Glad to hear it is working with Tibby!

Yay!!! I'm glad you have a tool that's working for Tibby. May I still recommend that whenever you have time to walk and train you go without it and only use it for when you're too tired to train or she's extra distracted. You don't want to manage forever! Must be really nice to be able to relax though!

Good to know. Clearly something I need to look into for Oscar...

It is really nice :) It's like 'yes, this is the dog I knew she was'.
I think I'll use the harness when we go out to busy places (fairs, farmer's makets, parades, all the races my mom goes to....) and still practice with her collar on regular walks, jogging and hiking. Now that I know she can do it. Eventually I know she will get it!
Summer can't come fast enough - lots of fun activities.

That is awesome. Always so much nicer when you are not being pulled down the street huh? :)
